About This Coffee:

Launched in 2009, Dulima brings you the best of this region’s outstanding coffee, meticulously selected through rigorous sensory analysis to ensure consistent quality and profile. Inspired by the indigenous Pijaos people and the Tolima volcano, called “Dulima” or Snow Queen, this coffee offers a vibrant and delicious experience with notes of citrus, red berries, caramel, and chocolate.
The Farm and Region:
Grown in the high altitudes of Huila, between 1500m and 2000m, this single estate coffee benefits from the region’s fertile volcanic soils and diverse ecosystems. Huila is renowned for its high-quality Arabica coffee, with varieties like Castillo, Caturra, and Colombia thriving here. The farmers in this region are dedicated to quality, often pioneering new processing methods to enhance their crops. Huila’s landscape, dominated by volcanoes and mountains, provides ideal conditions for coffee cultivation, resulting in a balanced cup with bright acidity and sweet notes.
A Bit of History:
Coffee has deep roots in Colombia, introduced by priests in the 17th century. The story of Francisco Romero, a priest who encouraged his parishioners to plant coffee as penance, highlights the unique beginnings of Colombia’s coffee industry. This practice quickly spread, leading to the commercial production of coffee in ideal growing regions like Huila. Today, Colombian coffee, especially from Huila, is celebrated worldwide for its exceptional quality and flavor.
